Finally. Sold off whatever I could, then headed off for the High Gate Ruins. Short walk from here.
Whoops. Sorry, nyord lady. I thought you were a bandit. Here, hold VERY still while I pull that arrow out from between your shoulders. That was a nice shot though, wasn't it?
Is that charred skeever hide?
And a dagger? Mine nyow~
Okay, you want help finding a scroll the guy in here's apparently got? Sure, you can tag along. Stay out the way of the blades and spells, don't touch anything, and step exactly where I step.
That was pretty easy. The guy whose tomb it was was pretty tricky, what with that staff of his and the constant backpedalling. Eventually caught him up and stabbed him to death. Couldn't apply a Slow poison to him; too dead for it to stick. Damn.
Nyice staff of fireballs, by the way.
Word wall! STRUN. Storm, part of Storm Call. Don't know what it does. Calls storms, maybe?
Nyord lady was actually good for her word, didn't get killed, and even followed my instructions, mostly. She got herself and Lydia smacked by a grate trap, but I think that was more Lydiocy. I WULDed my way past it, though; I knew they'd set it off.
But since she was good, she got her scroll. By reward, I got a fancy spellbook off her. Summon Flaming Familliar! Interesting, but I'm not really a mage... Okay, not a magey mage. I cast spells. I'm from the college. But most of what I do is throw firebolts. Still. It might come in handy, you never know.
Quick run back to Solitude, to trade the loot in for more iron and ingredients. Then to the palace to make potions, then back to traders for more iron and magic items and stuff.
Okay, tried offering to invest in someone's business. They let me have a bunch of small stuff for free, gave me better prices on my loot, and ordered better stuff in. And I was able to get my money back by selling them loot.
I should introduce this to whiterun.
Went to the inn for a nyap; tired from the walk, and the stores were shut anyway.
